Language Development

Preschool education concentrates on the basics of oral communication, speaking and listening, reading and comprehending simple texts and encouraging writing skills. This area of learning helps children stay ahead of the curve by giving them the motivation to start writing and reading with enthusiasm

Numeracy

This area helps children develop their skills in logical operations, like counting, sorting, matching, creating patterns, problem-solving and working with shapes and measures. We help them build a strong mathematical foundation through practical tasks, stories, songs, games and imaginative play. We also help children understand how mathematics can be applied in real life, during their pre-school education

Science and Social Studies

Children are inquisitive from birth. Every day, they are exposed to a whole range of sights and sounds, which stimulate their curiosity. At Indus pre-school learning centre, we help them develop age appropriate knowledge, skills and understanding to make sense of the world around them, and learn from life itself

Personal, Social and Physical Education

To become true leaders, children learn to strive for success through the all-round development of their personal, social, emotional and physical selves. This provides them with excellent opportunities to succeed in all areas of learning

Creative Arts

Exploring and Learning the arts helps children experience a unique integration of the body and mind. We encourage children to indulge in and appreciate different forms of creative expressions like art, music, dance and role play, which makes IELC one among the top pre-primary Schools in Hyderabad.

SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS (SEN)

Indus Early Learning Centre, Hyderabad prides itself on being an inclusive School. We strive to cater to the diverse needs of students by ensuring that each student gets equitable access to the learning curriculum.
Our School is a place where we value the importance of effective communication within and beyond the classroom.
Effective communication defines how we think and learn and is a means to achieve a healthy global and local perspective that will enable the integration of additional languages. The teachers work in active collaboration with homeroom and other specialist teachers to support the learning. Our learning engagements are planned in a way to build confidence and improve skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening.

ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL)

Our students come from diverse cultures, religions and creeds. They live and study together at a top boarding School. They make long lasting friendships which continue way beyond their School years.

Our ESL teachers are all language teachers. Together, they help our students become confident in their English skills, which is the common language used in the school. They appreciate that students learn in different ways and therefore use a wide range of teaching methods.

Students with limited English language receive a combination of 'pull-out' and 'push-in' learning support, depending on their level of proficiency. The IISB ESL support programme promotes academic English proficiency that will enable the integration of ESL students into the mainstream curriculum in no less than two years. ESL teachers work in active collaboration with homeroom and other specialist teachers to support them.

Our courses are designed to build confidence and improve skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. We also support our students in increasing their understanding of Science, Math, History and Economics. The courses provide students with opportunities to discover their self-worth through a range of enrichment activities.

AGE CRITERIA

The age criteria for Indus Early Learning Centre is determined through scientific research and detailed discussions between people who understand child psychology and growth patterns.
This ensures that the children are not over-burdened and are free to excel as per their capacity
